Nepal Walkabout (With a Surprise Ending!)

Ha-wro everybody. I am mere 15 minutes away from meeting (and moving in with) my homestay family. Everybody here has been so welcoming that I am 99% excited and only 1% anxious.

Now let's check out at a video of myself walking around Boudha (Tibetan part of Kathmandu). I hope you enjoy this quick slice of Boudha life.

Bonus video! My Tibetan language teacher, Mingyur-la, sings and dances a Tibetan jig.

Stay updated for a look at Tibetan street art (in Stocky-Jon and Grossnickle style).

Update from Boudha! Rinpoches, defecation, and more!

First, the vid:

And here are some pictures for your viewing pleasure.

Juicy pineapples in the butterfly pavilion in the Sinapore airport. Delicious.

The students sing both of these songs everyday. Maybe I'll try to convince them to change the songs to Party Rock Anthem instead. "Everyday I'm shufflin'."

Slugs makin' love.

Dude cutting off the head of a rooster. On the right side of the picture, you can see the pile of rooster heads on top of the roof.

A sweet mid-bow action shot of Khen Rinpoche.
Jel-yah jel-yong (goodbye in Tibetan),
